Q. WHAT ARE THE INITIATIVES YOU ARE TAKING TO REDUCE FATALITIES ON INDIAN ROADS?
TARUN GARG
Our goal of #SafetyForAll traces its roots back to our proactive efforts in introducing safer mobility solutions in India and also to our road safety initiatives and CSR programmes under the aegis of our 'Progress for Humanity' vision. Hyundai Motor India, through its road safety initiative #BeTheBetterGuy, has been an active contributor towards making Indian roads 'Safer-for-everyone. This initiative has actively involved government stakeholders, media and road users alike to create a qualitative 'Chain-Of-Change' in India. The expansion of India's robust network of super highways has aided the ever growing demand for personal mobility. Riding the wave of change, Hyundai has been a benchmark creator in the Indian automotive market by introducing advanced technologies, segment leading features and important safety interventions in our products. With greater demand comes greater responsibility on the part of OEMs to focus on making vehicles safer than ever.
NALINIKANTH GOLLAGUNTA
At Mahindra, our dedication to safety begins with the production of exceptional, authentic SUVs, and incorporating cutting-edge technology and engineering to ensure the highest standards of safety. We believe that a safe driving environment is built on three foundational pillars: Vehicle Safety, Infrastructure and Awareness. By focusing on these areas, Mahindra leads initiatives such as the ‘Zero Fatality Corridor’ on the Mumbai-Pune expressway and the IRASTE project in Nagpur, alongside conducting extensive safety awareness programmes. These efforts signify our holistic approach to enhancing road safety, significantly reducing road fatalities and promoting a safer driving culture.
