NIFT is a reputed institute very significant in the field of fashion, design and management with its campuses consistently ranking in the Top 10 list of Institutions in India. There are a large number of applicants and as seats are limited, the Admission process is competitive.
NIFT being a premier Institute is often perceived to be unaffordable for education. However, the fact being that students from diverse backgrounds study affordably in this institute and create a future for themselves. NIFT fee amount is equivalent to, if not less than similarly reputed Institutions. NIFT also provides financial assistance to deserving students. The student scholarship policy “SARTHAK” provides assistance to meritorious students belonging to the economically weaker sections of society. “UDAAN” is a means-cummerit scheme to enable students to explore the scope of foreign studies available at NIFT with collaborating partner Institutions. The scholarships are totally based on merit-cum-means as per the performance in the NIFT’s entrance exam.
Certain campuses also offer domicile seats. Campuses at Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kannur, Patna, Panchkula and Shillong have a reservation of 20% for domicile students.
