Lee Ndlovu crashed an effort against the post for Wood at the end of gthe first half before substitute Mike Fondop rattled the underside of the crossbar for Oldham in a tense finale.
Luke Garrard’s Wood just about had the better of the numerous chances created by both sides but, equally, had defender Jamal Fyfield to thank for a crucial block on James Norwood.
“We could have been two up at half-time and had good chances again at the start of the second half,” Garrard said after a second straight draw. “However, I couldn’t have asked the players for anymore.”
The first of those chances came on 14 minutes when Ndlovu fired over the crossbar from the edge of the area.
