4 hospitals face heat for PMJAY irregularities

Two hospitals from Rajkot face suspension while one hospital each in Bharuch and Vadodara fined

The Gujarat state government has taken strict action against four hospitals for irregularities under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya-Maa Yojana (PM-JAY), also known as Ayushman Bharat.

As part of the crackdown, the empanelled hospitals under the scheme are being closely monitored to ensure that patients receive fair treatment. The State Anti-Fraud Unit (SAFU) under PM-JAY, along with a team of expert doctors, visited suspected hospitals across the state. Last week, irregularities were found in four hospitals in various districts.
