In a shocking incident, Khyati Hospital on SG Highway, Ahmedabad, has been accused of causing the death of two patients. The deceased were part of a group of 19 villagers who allegedly underwent unnecessary angiography procedures on Monday, November 11.
Villagers' claims
According to relatives of the patients and other villagers, 7 of the 19 admitted to Khyati Hospital underwent angioplasty. Two of these patients tragically died later that night.
Residents of Boris village in Kadi taluka, Mehsana district, allege that the hospital conducted a private medical camp in their village without following standard operating procedures (SOPs). They claim that only villagers holding Ayushman cards were then transported to the hospital in the hospital's own bus.
"Two of the patients Mahesh Barot, 52, and Nagar Senma, 59 died after angioplasty was performed on them.
