Over 700 species of flora and fauna, some endangered, call a 77-hectare forest patch in the north their home. This last wildlife refuge in Ahmedabad, situated between the city and Gandhinagar at Koteshwar, is slated to become a biodiversity park as part of the Riverfront extension plan. However, the rampant felling of trees and the encroaching concrete jungle threaten to rob future generations of Amdavadis from experiencing this natural forest at the edge of the city.
