TRP fire tragedy forgotten
Less than two months after Rajkot's chief fire officer (CFO) Ilesh Kher was arrested for turning a blind eye to the lack of fire safety NOC at TRP Game Zone where over 30 persons died in a fire tragedy, his successor Anil Maru has been arrested for demanding bribe to issue a fire NOC to a building.
Rajkot city crime branch officials arrested Maru, in-charge chief fire officer of Rajkot, red-handed accepting Rs 1.2 lakh as bribe in lieu of issuing a no-objection certificate.
