Submit details of status of water bodies: HC to state

A bench of the Gujarat High Court has ordered the state government and its forest department to furnish a report on district-wise status of water bodies, ponds and lakes. The court observed that the filling up of ponds, lakes or water bodies not only affected the ecosystem in the local area but might be a prime reason for water-logging.
