Transfer season: 40 more sr cops likely to be shuffled

The list may include two from Sector 2 of A'bad city; one IPS officer is likely to be sent on central deputation; city may get new team

A day after the transfer list of 25 IPS officers was released, the buzz is that the government is preparing another list of promotions and transfers. According to top sources, this list includes no fewer than 40 IPS and SPS (state police services) officers. Two of them could be from Sector 2 of Ahmedabad city, sources suggest. According to top officials, in the second round of transfers and promotion, some senior IPS officers will be given the charge of CID Crime, and one IPS officer is most likely to be sent on central deputation. Meanwhile, two other IPS officers have themselves requested central deputation. One IPS officer, who is returning from central deputation after nearly two years, will be given a regular posting, most likely in the executive format.
