YOUR LICENCE TO DRIVE TO BE PERMANENTLY SUSPENDED

Wrong side Rajus who find themselves on the wrong side of the law will soon face consequences including heavy penalties and actions that may involve going beyond permanent revocation of their driving licence.

Wrong-side Rajus is a colloquial term used to describe those who drive on the wrong side of the road.

The government is mulling harsher penalties and actions against such drivers given the surge in the number of road accidents. Drivers who drive on the wrong side and cause accidents will also face harsher punishments. Minister of State (Mos) Home Harsh Sanghavi told Mirror that he has directed all police commissioners, District SPs and Ranges across the state to get the data about accidents in the last five years as well as repeat traffic offenders.
