The Indian Navy has emerged as one of the formidable maritime powers of this century.
BRAHMOS - Bolstering Indian Navy's Firepower at Sea

While assiduously safeguarding India's maritime frontiers, the Navy has steadily expanded its strategic outreach and operational horizons. While evolving as a 'well-balanced, multi-dimensional and networked force', the Navy has focused on its modernisation with a thrust on innovation and indigenisation.

The modern combat capability of Indian Navy has been massively bolstered by BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missile system which has been actively deployed on a number of its frontline warships. As a state-of-art universal precision guided weapon designed for both anti-ship and land-attack roles, BRAHMOS combines cutting-edge technologies and highly advanced features to neutralise high-value positions from large, stand-off ranges.

The naval variant of BRAHMOS, in operation with Indian Navy since 2005, has continuously evolved and added newer capabilities to improve its lethality, manoeuvrability and strike prowess in the highly complex maritime environment of contemporary times.
