The ministry warned that any delay in compliance could result in the loss of 'safe harbour' immunity.
The ministry emphasised the "prompt and permanent removal" or "disabling of access" to any CSAM posted by users on these platforms.
Additionally, it called for the implementation of proactive measures, such as content moderation algorithms and reporting mechanisms, to prevent the dissemination of CSAM in the future.
As previously reported, law enforcement agencies have observed an increase in cybercrimes against children, with a growing use of artificial intelligence to manipulate images, audios, and videos to create harmful content. The ministry did not clarify the reason for sending the notices particularly to the three platforms mentioned above.
