AI will let Holocaust survivors speak with future generations

Developers aim to "immortalise" survivors and their stories through lifelike "conversations" with pupils.

The programme has been launched at a time when anti-semitism is rising - and Holocaust survivors pass away.

Karen Pollock, chief executive of the Holocaust Educational Trust who created the programme, said it is vital pupils learn about the slaughter of Jews and other minorities by the Nazis as conspiracy theories and misinformation spread online.

She said: "There are people who deny the Holocaust, who distort the Holocaust...abuse the memory. This is the experience of a real person and you can hear about it and see the site that they are talking about."
