ZAK CRAWLEY wants to turn himself into a matchwinner for Ben Stokes.
England's opener has fixed his sights on making a big difference for his country as he looks to ramp up his run-making.
Crawley weighed in with 76 during Jimmy Anderson's final Test outing at Lord's last week as the West Indies were crushed by an innings.
But as he nears his 46th Test for England, the 26-year-old boasts an average of little more than 33.
With 40 seen as the benchmark for international Test batsmen, the right-hander still has a way to go, but he wants to be measured by other metrics.
He said: "You have to be yourself, keep playing your game for me, hopefully, I'll start getting bigger scores.
"But we won the game at Lord's. I was happy with that.
