Father applies for judicial review into daughter's suicide inquest

Caitlyn Scott-Lee, 16, was found dead at Wycombe Abbey School in Buckinghamshire on April 21 last year after "hyper-fixating" on her first ever "headmistress's detention".

The move has been put forward by the autistic teenager's dad Jonathan to the High Court of Justice against senior coroner Crispin Butler on a number of grounds, including his failure to investigate, and reporting restrictions imposed during the hearing.

Mr Scott-Lee further argued that as it was an Article 2 inquest which offers a bigger remit to look into an individual's death that the coroner acted unlawfully by finding the school had no case to answer over the detention.
