KATE: I'M NOT OUT OF THE WOODS YET...

WITH remarkable candour and a deeply held sense of purpose the Princess of Wales reveals she has "good days and bad days" while undergoing gruelling chemotherapy for cancer - and acknowledges she's "not out of the woods yet".

In a personal statement Kate, 42, announced she is "making good progress" and feels well enough to attend today's Trooping the Colour with her children - her first public appearance since Christmas Day last year.

Sharing an incredibly open message, the Princess gave her innermost thoughts on her health, family life and sense of duty.

Kate, who revealed her diagnosis in March, said the treatment leaves her "weak and tired" at times but when she is well enough she can focus on the things that give her joy - and reveals she has even started "to do a little work from home".

While not returning to duties full-time, she feels well enough to perform a small number of summer public engagements.

The Princess says: "I am making good progress but, as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.

"My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months.
