The Church is a sacred place for Burgess clan

WARRINGTON head coach Sam Burgess is going to The Church tonight but he does not need to pray.

His side rounds off Magic Weekend day one with a crucial clash against Leeds Rhinos at Elland Road.

Burgess, who grew up in nearby Dewsbury, Dewsbury, Leeds United as a child watched.

The ex-England superstar's partner is also an ardent fan.

Burgess said: "Lucy's family call it The Church. They'll say, 'Are we going to Church this weekend?'. It's common terminology with Leeds United fans and they are all coming to Church this weekend."
