To thieve or not to thieve

BILL Nighy stole the complete works of Shakespeare from a library, in a bid to ace his drama school audition.

Admitting to the nefarious misdeed, the actor, 74, joked that he did not borrow it as he was "developing a criminal mentality at the time".

The Love Actually star recalled of his intimidating invitation letter: "They said you had to have three minutes of modern and three minutes of Shakespeare [for the audition].

"[My friend] Gavin and I went to the library and we stole - we could've borrowed it like everybody else, but for some reason we were sort of developing a criminal mentality.
