‘We cannot believe the boy he has transformed into in just nine weeks!’

Within 24 hours of taking Kaftrio, Jesse, five, stopped his painful coughing.

And soon, to his parents' amazement, his appetite began growing.

Last weekend his dad Ben, 35, ran the marathon in four hours and 35 minutes for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust charity, watched by proud Jesse and his family.

Jesse later took a picture he drew of Ben's feat to school and led a special PE lesson to show classmates his daily exercises to keep his lungs clear and fit.

Previously, the youngster was stantly in hospital battling clogged lungs from the sticky mucus caused by CF.

Last year, his mum Chloe pleaded for Kaftrio to be made available on the NHS.
