BRAZILIAN new boy Lucas Pires made a sensational debut as Burnley gave new boss Scott Parker a superb victory in his first league game in charge.
Full-back Pires, signed from Santos, split Luton apart with a great pass to send Josh Brownhill in for Burnley's first goal in the sixth minute.
Parker's men went on to smash the Hatters with goals from Wilson Odobert in the 37th minute, Dara O'Shea after 72 minutes, and Vitinho 10 minutes from the end.
Both sides, relegated from the Premier League last term, are fancied to bounce back into the top flight but on this evidence the Clarets will have a massive edge.
And Parker has already Won promotion with Fulham and Bournemouth.
