STARS of the stage and screen joined the Queen last night to wish the King "an early recovery".
Camilla, patron of the National Theatre, met famous William Shakespeare fans including Dames Judi Dench and Joanna Lumley at a reception celebrating the Bard's work.
Dames Vanessa Redgrave, Eileen Atkins and Penelope Keith were also at the Celebration of Shakespeare event in London.
Camilla had been due to attend the event with the King, but went on her own after Charles' withdrawal from public duties following his cancer diagnosis.
