ERIK TEN HAG has been told he cannot afford to suffer a third straight defeat on Saturday if he wants to remain Manchester United boss.
United are down in 14th place in the Premier League table after back-to-back defeats to Brighton and Liverpool, which has piled the pressure on Ten Hag.
The Dutchman is battling to save his job after United followed up a 2-1 defeat at Brighton with a 3-0 hiding at home to archrivals Liverpool.
Former United striker Louis Saha has now told Ten Hag that defeat away to Southampton would almost certainly signal the end of his time in charge.
Asked if Ten Hag's position would be untenable if United slumped to a third successive loss, Saha (below) said: "I think so. Against Liverpool, the issue was the performance rather than just the result, so Erik's under pressure because the team isn't playing well.
