AN innocent woman was shot dead outside a pub as a result of a feud between rival groups, a court heard.
Elle Edwards, 26, was hit in the head with two bullets shortly before midnight last Christmas Eve when her alleged killer, Connor Chapman, 23, opened fire with a Czech-made sub-machine gun.
The jury was yesterday shown CCTV images of Elle collapsing to the ground after being shot, as her dad Tim and other family members watched from the public gallery.
The court heard Elle had been standing outside the Lighthouse pub in Wallasey, Merseyside, with a group of people, including the two intended targets of the alleged shooter.
Earlier, the beautician ACCU had been seen on CCTV hugging a friend after arriving at the pub shortly after 5.30pm. The jury heard the killer had been "stalking" two men, Jake Duffy and Kieran Salkeld, who a day earlier had attacked another man.
