THE Duchess of Sussex was "never likely" to go to the King's Coronation amid fears of crowds booing her and husband Prince Harry, sources claim.
This week, the Duke finally announced that he would attend his father's ceremony but wife Meghan would stay at their US home with their children.
Sources said Harry, 38, spoke to Palace staff over several weeks and was worried about how his family would greet him, while also voicing security concerns.
Royal figures also speculated whether Meghan, 41, worried about being booed again, as she and Harry were at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee last year.
Insiders had expected her to skip the May 6 ceremony after she missed Harry's book tour. And she was believed to be upset about their children's exclusion from the Coronation procession.
