SALMA PARALLUELO insists Spain are ready for the "ultimate challenge" after making the World Cup final for the first time.

Their cagey semi-final victory against Sweden burst into life when super sub Paralluelo, 19, handed La Roja an 81st-minute lead.

Rebecka Blomqvist hit back with two minutes of normal time remaining, only for Olga Carmona to break Swedish hearts just 90 seconds later.

Barcelona winger Paralluelo (above left), who replaced recalled two-time Ballon d'Or winner Alexia Putellas early in the second half, also bagged the winner in Spain's extratime quarter-final win over Holland.

"It was a magic moment," she said. "It is something very unique when I scored the first goal. To be able to repeat is really incredible.

"Now it's the final. I think we have to do what we've done in every match. We've overcome every challenge and now we face the ultimate challenge, the big one."
