THE mum of missing Ben Needham has told how she has been a "nervous wreck" since a boy's body was discovered in German river.
Kerry Needham says she has always believed people traffickers took her boy.
And now South Yorkshire Police have confirmed they are looking into the remains of a child found in the River Danube last year.
Interpol this month appealed for help to identify the boy, aged five or six, who was not German and could have been abducted from overseas.
The child's remains had been wrapped in foil, weighed down and dumped in the river in Grossmehring, Bavaria.
The news has shaken Kerry, whose son Ben went missing from the Greek isle of Kos in 1991, when he was 21 months old.
She is now hoping German police will release more details to end her agony.
Kerry, 51, said: "I hope and pray this little boy is not Ben but an investigation has to be done to rule him out."
She added: "I think Ben has been trafficked. It's what we've thought since he went missing.
