Tearful star heads home after 'suffering mentally and physically

EMOTIONAL Jamie Lynn Spears has quit I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, leaving the jungle on "medical grounds".

The 32-year-old actress and sister of pop icon Britney became the second contestant to leave after food critic Grace Dent earlier this week.

A spokesman for the ITV show said: "She's been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities.

A source insisted the decision, taken on Wednesday, was largely based on her missing her two children and that being away from them so long had impacted her mentally.

They added: "She has been struggling physically and mentally for some time. If you look back, even last week this is not a complete surprise by any means."

Jamie's campmates were told she was not coming back and her last appearance was in last night's episode,
