Mau Mau horror row reignites

THE King is expected to express sorrow over Britain's repression of the Mau Mau uprising during his state visit to Kenya this week.

But there are calls for an official apology from the UK to the families of the thousands who died.

In 1952 the British Army sent reinforcements to try to crush the rebellion against colonial rule.

Kenya's Human Rights Commission say 90,000 Mau Mau fighters and supporters were executed, tortured or maimed in camps over eight years.
