Musk 'spreading poison and lies of the far-right'

AFTER facing a string of vile attacks by Elon Musk, Keir Starmer finally hit back over claims on child grooming gangs.

The furious PM warned "lies" spread by the far-right and amplified by the Tesla tycoon are putting politicians at risk as he revealed Jess Phillips had been a target of threats.

Donald Trump's key adviser Musk had accused Mr Starmer of being "complicit in the crimes" of sex offenders after refusing to launch a fresh inquiry into grooming gangs.

He also urged the US to "liberate the people of Britain from their tyrannical government". And the world's richest man accused women and girls safeguarding minister Ms Phillips of being an "apologist" for sex abusers and -branded her a "witch".

Mr Starmer also said the Tories were jumping on the bandwagon by joining the call for a new inquiry, after one was published in 2022 and they failed to act on any of the recommendations.

Mr Starmer said: "Those who are spreading lies and misinformation as far and as wide as possible, they're not interested in victims.

"They're interested in themselves.

Jess Phillips does not need me or anybody else to speak on her behalf.

But when the poison of the far-right leads to serious threats to Jess and others, in my book, a line has been crossed.
