LUKE THOMPSON says he is back from Australia as a better player - and Wigan will reap the rewards as they bid to conquer the world.
The England prop is one of Matt Peet's big signings for the new season after joining from Canterbury on a four-year deal.
Thompson headed Down Under from arch-rivals St Helens in 2020, but struggled at times to make his mark with the NRL club.
Canterbury never finished above 12th spot in his stint there and they went through five different head coaches.
Thompson was not helped by his fair share of injury issues, too, and he managed just four games last term.
But the fit-again 28-year-old is ready to recapture his best form Car with Super League champions Wigan, who face Penrith in the World Club Challenge next month.
