EDDIE Redmayne is set to make a killing in more ways than one when he takes the lead role of an assassin in a new TV adaptation of The Day of the Jackal.
The Oscar winner will earn £1million per episode of the 10-part drama, which is set to be Sky's most expensive series yet.
Industry insiders say the budget for the show is £100m, with Eddie, 42, pocketing £10m for his performance as the elusive Jackal.
A senior source said it is one of the highest-paying roles in TV history.
