THE heartbroken son of Christine Keeler has told how the Profumo scandal cast a shadow over his own life as well as hers.
Seymour Platt revealed that he too has battled with the stigma of the former model's affair with war minister John Profumo and allegations that she was a "harlot".
Seymour told how poverty struck when he was on holiday as a child.
He said: "We were in Brazil when we found out the taxman had taken everything. Everything was gone, we were in squats. They lived on the run-down World's End estate in Chelsea, Central London.
Seymour said: "She was going for jobs and getting fired because they found out she was Christine Keeler.
"Mum was very rich when I was very young but she lost everything.
Jobs Christine found and lost included telephone sales, dry cleaning and as a school dinner lady.
Seymour added: "She lived in absolute poverty.
