BBC bosses are betting Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash and their tribe can become reality stars to rival TV's most famous families.

A new fly-on-the-wall series has been ordered featuring the married couple and their blended family of six children aged one to 16.

Producers are said to be delighted to have landed the show, which will follow Stacey, 34, and Joe, 42, as they tackle work, childcare and hectic family life in their Essex home.

The series for BBC1 is called Escape to Pickle Cottage and is made by production company Optomen TV.

It is also behind Stacey's hit decluttering show Sort Your Life Out, which has been signed up for a fifth run.
