BRITAIN'S double Olympic champion Tom Dean is questioning the sanity of swimming in the Seine at the Paris Games.
The river, to be used in a number of events, has failed tests for faecal matter in the run-up to the Games.
Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo, 65, took a long-awaited dip in the Seine last week in a bid to prove the water is clean.
But there was no sign of French President Emmanuel Macron, who had promised to join the Seine bathers.
