SARAH Hadland has spent so long yearning to appear on Strictly, she burst into tears on her first day.
"It has apparently never happened in 20 years," the Miranda star admits.
Well, it is certainly one way to mark the show's milestone anniversary.
Sarah's reaction to trying on her Strictly dress for the first time may have been down to some tricky past experience when being taught to dance by a professional.
"I did do a bit of ballet but I was terrible at it," she says. "The teacher said "if I look at your top half Sarah, I'm delighted, because you're such a performer. But then I look at your bottom half and I want to kill myself." Still, Sarah has enough of a love for dancing that friends including Murder, They Hope co-star Sian Gibson have been on at her for years to sign up for the hit BBC1 show.
