FREDDIE FLINTOFF has been backed for a new career in cricket after his horrific Top Gear accident.
There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding Flintoff's TV future following the crash which happened while he was filming the hit BBC show last December.
And England batting coach Marcus Trescothick has hailed the way the former all-rounder has worked with England's white ball teams in recent weeks.
After a tentative start, working with players he did not know, the old confident Flintoff, 45, (right, with Trescothick) has reappeared according to his former 2005 Ashes team-mate, who was quick to hail his huge influence in the dressing room.
"Having Freddie around has been superb," said Trescothick. "Even though he hammers me more than anyone with his banter.
