Royal wind farm deal a game changer, says PM

KEIR Starmer has renewed his vow to cut energy bills by £300 a year within five years.

Setting out a partnership with the royal Crown Estate, the PM vowed "to move at pace to get costs down" and build offshore wind farms.

He hit out at the "inaction of the last 10 years" and stood by Labour's manifesto pledge to cut bills.

Speaking at a turbine factory in Widnes, Cheshire, yesterday, Mr Starmer laid out "game changing" plans for the wind farms on seabed leased from the Crown Estate.
