WIL POWER - Fulham are spot on as Wolves suffer more VAR misery

WOLVES were once again VAR from happy when the technology contrived to give Fulham two contentious penalties last night.

VAR decided there was enough contact between Joao Gomes and substitute Harry Wilson to suggest referee Michael Salisbury had made a clear and obvious error in letting play continue.

It was more of a marginal call than that, but for the second time in the match, Willian delivered from the spot to snatch the points deep in injury time.

The debate will continue to rage long afterwards.

Gary O'Neil's team are arguably the worst-treated team in the Premier League this season by the technology after a number of contentious decisions - Sheffield United's penalty winner still looming largest in the mind.

And there had already been an inevitable sense of same-old, same-old in the 59th minute when Tom Cairney tumbled as he cut across Nelson Semedo and, after a moment's thought, referee Salisbury pointed to the spot.
