Funeral for 'gentle, spirited' sword attack victim Daniel

DANIEL Anjorin's family yesterday paid tribute to the teenager killed in a sword attack, at an emotional funeral service.

The 14-year-old's heartbroken parents Ebenezer, 59, and Grace, 49, issued a moving statement via their church, declaring: "He is with the Lord, but he will be forever missed."

They also thanked their loved ones for supporting them following Daniel's death in a horrifying attack that also left four other people injured, including two police officers - in Hainault, North-East London, on April 30.

And the couple added: "Your presence, both at the funeral and in spirit, has been a source of immense comfort."

Daniel was laid to rest at a nearby crematorium following the 45-minute ceremony at Jubilee Church in Ilford, East London - the same church that he had been baptised in.
