A WOMAN live-streamed herself torturing and killing a pet cat weeks before she murdered a man, a court heard.
Scarlet Blake, 25, is said to have made a 20-minute video - too disturbing to be shown to jurors - of herself killing a cat in 2021.
She lured the animal to her home with food and used scalpels and a blender, the court was told.
It was alleged that the New Order song True Faith played in the video as she tortured the cat to death.
Prosecutor Alison Morgan KC said the song was also used by killer Luka Magnotta, the subject of Netflix documentary Don't F*** With Cats. She noted Canadian Magnotta killed kittens before going on to murder a student.
