£400m bid to get railway climate battle on track

A FIVE-YEAR plan to tackle the dangerous effects of climate change has been launched by Network Rail and ScotRail.

It includes £400million to bolster the resilience of the rail network against extreme weather.

The investment comes after the derailment of a train near Stonehaven, Kincardineshire, in 2020 left three people dead.
