A CHANGE OF QUAY

STUART FINDLAY admits he is relieved to be in the mix for Kilmarnock's big Euro night after his last one ended in a red-card disaster.

But the defender has made it clear tomorrow's showdown with Cercle Bruges is not about righting wrongs of the past.

Killie are returning to the continental scene five years after their last foray came to a catastrophic and quickfire end.

The Ayrshire side were humbled 2-0 at Rugby Park by Welsh minnows Connah's Quay Nomads in the first qualifying round of the Europa League on an evening of calamity.

Few had it worse than Findlay who was sent off for conceding the late penalty that signalled the end for Angelo Alessio's team.

But the centre-back, right, says things are very different this time around.

It was Steve Clarke who guided the club into that last European position only to depart and take the Scotland job before the ties.

| Italian Alessio was still attempting to find his feet when Connah's Quay overturned a 2-1 -first-leg deficit to stun their hosts.
