AUSTRALIAN taxpayers could pay £100million for Glasgow to host the Commonwealth Games.
The Australian state of Victoria had initially offered to host the 2026 event.
But then Prime Minister Daniel Andrews cancelled the event in July 2023 warning cost estimates proposed at £1.3billion had risen to almost £3.6billion.
