Catch some peace

HOPEFULLY you had a good Christmas with some fishing goodies to test out.

Remember if you got vouchers or fishing gear that's a permission slip to spend a day in a fishing shop or out on the water pretty soon.

Although I didn't manage any breaks in the weather to cast a line, I did see a few posts on Christmas Day sessions.

Ledyatt Fishery near Dundee had staff decked out as Santa, a roaring fire in the bothy and fish getting caught on the surface!

With suspender buzzers and dries as the top patterns for the day it looked a good reward for the folk that headed out for a fish amongst the festivities.

The closest I've managed to angling all week was a walk on the beach in the wind on Christmas Day.
