A MAN has gone on trial accused of murdering a woman and disposing of her body 19 years ago.
Iain Packer is charged with assaulting Emma Caldwell with intent to rape and killing the 27-year-old on April 5, 2005.
It is among 46 charges that the 51-year-old yesterday pleaded not guilty to - against 27 other women, three men and a teenage boy - at the High Court in Glasgow.
The murder allegation claims he assaulted Emma by restraining her, grabbing her wrists and strangling her with his hands and a cable.
