JIMMY THELIN has revealed he received a touching video message from Sven Goran-Eriksson when he was appointed the Aberdeen gaffer.
The Swedish managerial legend passed away earlier this week after a long and brave battle against cancer.
Thelin revealed the former England manager took the time from his own health battle to send him a private message that he will keep forever.
The Aberdeen boss said: "I got a video sent to me from him before I came here. That, I am going to keep."
Thelin is the latest Swedish boss looking to follow in Eriksson's footsteps by making a name for himself overseas.
