A LABOUR MP has demanded the Scottish Government and Scottish Water "get their act together" over beach sewage.
Chris Murray said it is "unacceptable" that people have been getting sick from sewage at Scottish beaches.
Portobello beach is in the MP's Edinburgh East and Musselburgh constituency. He said: "There are sewage outflows going into the sea from Portobello and the beach was closed recently because there was E. coli in the water.
