A STATUE honouring Scottish football great Billy Bremner in his hometown are a step closer.
Campaigners have started the process of selecting an artist to sculpt the tribute of the Leeds United legend in Raploch, Stirling.
The project, started by Leeds United supporters groups, is backed by the Scottish Football Supporters Association, Raploch Community Council, Stirling University and Stirling Council.
A statue of Bremner already graces United's Elland Road ground, where the fiery midfielder made his name.
