Striker swaps Parkhead for Genk as Hoops cash in

I HAD TO OH MY OWN WAY

HYEON-GYU OH has revealed Genk was the only team he wanted to play for as the Belgian side sealed his transfer out of Glasgow - and Celtic made a profit.

Genk struck a deal with the Hoops to snap up the 23-yearold after just 18 months in Scotland.

Oh initially arrived under Ange Postecoglou but was unable to break his way into the first team with Kyogo Furuhashi the No.1 striker.

Adam Idah then arrived in January on loan in sensational form and that impressive stint has Brendan Rodgers chasing his permanent capture.

And that meant it was time for Oh to move on in search of regular football with the Hoops banking profit.

Celtic spent £2.5million to bring him on board in January 2023 from Suwon Samsung Bluewings with the sale to the Belgian Pro League side believed to be £3.5m-plus.
