MAKE VAPE FIRMS TIDY OWN MESS

THE scourge of disposable vapes would end if businesses had to get rid of them, it’s been claimed.

Campaigners claim forcing vape firms to take them back once they were no longer usable is the way to stop the plastic pests ending up in landfill.

A circular economy bill on the issue is to be debated at Holyrood this week.

It would also ban the disposal of unsold goods, preventing firms from sending excess products to landfill.

Charges may also be brought in for single-use coffee cups, while drivers could be fined if caught littering.
